    Returns & Refunds

    Changing your mind

For UK consumer purchases online, you can cancel without giving a reason from placing your order until 14 days after the day you, or someone you nominate other than the carrier, receive the goods. If goods in one order arrive separately, the period runs from the day after the last item arrives.

Tell us clearly that you wish to cancel before that period ends, then send the goods back within a further 14 days of telling us. You do not need our approval to exercise your right to cancel. Sale items have the same rights.

How to cancel and return goods

    1. Email hello@bowyeahgifts.com with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. Please include your name, order number or other proof of purchase, and the items concerned so we can identify your order. Any clear statement of cancellation is sufficient.
    2. We will provide return instructions and the return address promptly.
    3. Send the goods back without undue delay and within 14 days of notifying us. Pack them securely and keep evidence of posting.

If dispatch has already begun, we may be unable to stop the parcel, but your cancellation rights still apply.

    Inspecting your purchase

You may open packaging and inspect goods as you would in a shop to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Original packaging is helpful for protection, but is not a condition of exercising your cancellation rights. Where the law allows, we may deduct for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for that inspection. We do not charge a restocking fee.

    Return postage

You pay the direct cost of returning goods when you change your mind, provided we told you this before purchase. We cover reasonable return costs for goods that are faulty, damaged or not as described, or items sent in error. Contact us so we can arrange a suitable return.

    Refunds after cancellation

We refund the price paid for the returned goods, subject only to any lawful deduction for diminished value. If you cancel the whole order, we also refund the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. Any extra amount paid for a premium delivery service is not refundable for a change of mind.

We refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the goods back or you supply evidence of sending them back, whichever is earlier. If no goods were supplied, or we offer to collect them, we refund no later than 14 days after being told of your cancellation.

Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, and you will not incur a refund fee.

    Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods

We must supply goods of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If goods fail to meet these requirements, you normally have 30 days after delivery to reject them for a full refund. You do not have to accept a repair or replacement instead during this period.

Your rights continue after 30 days. You can normally require a repair or replacement at no cost, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. If this is impossible, unsuccessful, or not provided as required by law, you may be entitled to a price reduction or to reject the goods for a refund. A deduction for use may apply to a final rejection after six months, where the law allows.

For repair or replacement claims where a fault appears within six months of delivery, it is generally presumed to have been present at delivery unless we can show otherwise. After six months you may need to show it was present then. Six months is not a limit on your statutory rights.

Email us with details and proof of purchase. A photo may help us assess damage, but is not required to report a problem. There is no 14-day reporting deadline for faulty goods, and the change-of-mind return conditions do not restrict these rights. We cover reasonable return costs. Refunds for rejected faulty goods are made without undue delay and within 14 days of agreeing that you are entitled to one.

    Personalised goods

The change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. Simply making a standard item after you order does not remove that right. Your rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described still apply.

    Your statutory rights

This policy does not limit your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Any more favourable return terms agreed when you placed an earlier order will still be honoured.
